This collection contains correspondence among family members, biographical and genealogy materials, photographs, and estate documents regarding the Jennings and Sibley families. Family members included in the collection are: Josephine (Jennings) and James Brown, King Couper, Righton Gordy, David Jennings, Eleanor (McCullan) Jennings, Ernestine Jennings, Eugenia (Shy Williams) Jennings, Henry Burritt Jennings, J. L. (James Longstreet) Sibley Jennings, Jr., J.L. (James Longstreet) Sibley Jennings, Sr., Josephine Sibley Jennings, Martha Jennings Norment, Alan B. and Mary Sibley, Erwin Sibley, James L. Sibley, John A. Sibley, Martha Sibley, Nancy and Bill Sibley, Stephen Thayer Sibley, Quintus and Robbie Sibley, and Walter Williams. Much of the materials in the collection relate to J.L Sibley Jennings, Sr. including correspondence files dated 1940s to 2003 and will and estate files dated 2003 to 2005. In addition to files on various family members, there is a Jennings family folder (located in box 2) and a folder of various photographs that were originally loose in the box of donated materials (located in box 5).

Catherine R. Moirai (1947- ) is the daughter of J.L. (James Longstreet) Sibley Jennings, Sr. (1920-2003) and his first wife, Ernestine Moore Jennings. She has two brothers, David Jennings and J. L. (James Longstreet) Sibley Jennings, Jr. (1941-). She resides in Tennessee. J.L. Sibley Jennings, Sr. was born on July 7, 1920 in Union, South Carolina.
